What is the fastest way to get abs?

I am a swimmer who NEEDS get abs to help lower my times. But I would also like abs for looks, too. I believe my abs are pretty strong, though. I did 77 sit-ups in 1 minute during the fitness test in school. I set the school record. However, you can not see any six pack abs or anything on my stomach. How do I get six pack ab the quickest way possible without stuff like protein drinks??

I want a six-pack abs. is there anything i can do besides crunches to get a six? Does the ab-lounge work? How many crunches do i have to do to get a six pack?

Not many who want six pack abs really understand the methods best used to achieve the goal. It takes more than working out everyday, you need to know which exercises to do, what diet to be on and have a lot of patience. Six pack abs are not totally about your abs, and it matters very much that you also focus on your entire body and especially your back muscles. Your abs will never have the right tone, or strength, if you fail to address your back strength. To work out the back muscles, you can do weight lifting exercises such as squats or leg lifts, or any back exercises that can be done on the exercise machines you may be using. If all is safe, then you can also consider yoga or other alternative approaches to strength building for your back. You will find that your abdomen responds better when you also include other muscle groups in your workouts. Regular exercise will automatically increase metabolism, so decreasing intake of fatty junk is great too; but to really get things in high gear you will want to add even more fat burning ability. The optimal approach includes those diet items (drinks and foods) that will naturally support your goal of burning fat. We strong recommend you avoid consuming drinks and foods that have any processed or refined sugars in them; and totally forget about high fructose corn syrup.

Six pack abs are not just for weight lifters, as you should know, and you can still get them with a little more variety if you want. Just about anyone is capable of having the six pack ab look, but it takes effort and commitment to do it. We urge you to walk away from the sweet and fried donut and other things that satisfy our taste buds, and keep a good focus on what you want in the end. Don’t think a little here or there won’t matter because they do matter – all of them. It’s a change of habit and mindset, but it’s one that you can do of course. Take in a very slow long breathe and start to slowly exhale ¾ of your air while you are pulling your belly button down toward your spine (I like to put my index finger on my belly-button and feel it raise as I take the long breathe in and then feel it start downward as I exhale ¾ of my lung capacity). While at the same time pushing your lower back into the floor and drive you chin down toward your chest slightly. Once you have ¾ of your air out hold your breathe and suck in through your throat with your breathe being held for 5-10 seconds. As you are holding your breath and sucking in, think about pulling your innards up and under your rib-cage. It is called the ab vacuum for a reason, it is a little hard to come out of it and resume your normal breathing; But you will, and once you do relax and take a couple breathes and repeat; Starting out do 1 set of 6-9 repetitions, 2-3 times per week. You can do the ab vacuum anywhere, and need no equipment. It’s a great way to wake up, or to end your day. It will take lots of practice and each week you will be able to feel the muscles working more and more.
