I’m 15 years old and I’ve been working out since the middle of last year (2008) I am about 117 pounds. What I don’t understand is that when I stand up, my stomach is flat and toned-looking with a little definition to it, but when I sit down, I look like I’ve got quite a belly. I’m not fat at all or over weight/under weight, and in the morning obviously my stomach is empty from fasting so it is flat when I sit down.
Other than the mornings, every time I sit, I look chubby. My question is, do I have to work all that off before getting a six pack? I do cardio, the treadmill, ab lounge, crunches, curls, planks, dumbells, resistance bands, I dance, all that, the whole shebang.

I’m sweating while on the treadmill, doing floor crunches and ab lounge crunches, it hurts like hell but since I am toning up slowly, Its starting to feel good (almost like a good stretch) every time I do crunches and short repitions as I flex my ab muscles. I’m seeing a slight line going down my upper abs, is this the start of a six pack? Or am I mistaken?

How can I get a six pack fast?

I run for about an hour and a half each day, and I also do crunches and all those ab exercises. I was wondering if there was anything extra I can do? Also, I want to start eating five small meals a day. What do you recommend for these meals?
My abs are visible, but I just have a little belly fat and it’s kind of covering them up.

Six-Pack Questions?

Hey, i am working on a six pack, and i am wondering if i am on the right track. I currently have about 2 1/2 of the 6 pack, and i do an ab workout of about 6 straight minutes of crunches and 4 sstraight minutes of leg lifts every other day. I run 5 miles after school every day. Am i on the right track? I also eat right and count my calories.

Six pack abs, is this good for it?

Does it actually help your abs to punch it multiple times. And does flexing ur abs a lot help your six packs too? and what are some things i can do daily to help my abs besides walking/running around a lot and eating right n workout out ur ab like crunches.?

i know this is unrealistic but if you ran like 1 hour a day did 2000 crunches and loads of ab work and ate a healthy diet could you get six pack quickly ????

I have a 6pack all the time, but some days it will be really clear and other days it will still be ther, just abit fainter. I work out in the gym 4 days a week and every day i go i warm up and cool down with 3 sets of 100 crunches.

so why does it go faint?? Am i working them too hard?? Not working them enough?? or am i being stupid and its simply the angle and the lighting that highlights them or doesnt??

How long will it take for me to obtain six pack abs?

I am a 16 year old, 5′ 10" 160 pound Male. I have began to do ab exercises since last week. Such as Crunches/Planks/The Bicycle. I’ve played soccer most of my life so I am not fat. I’m not being impatient, but I would imagine a person of my fitness for my age would take anywhere from a 1-3 months. Please answer my question but put proof behind your logic.

How to get a six pack in a year?

Since I am giving myself so long, can I take it easier? Like, can I do 25 sit-ups in the morning and add one every week and do 25 crunches at night and also add one every week? Also, I’ll do the ab lounge in my free time (how many?). Any other suggestions?

Every morning I run a mile, do 100 jumping jack, 20 pushups, and 100 crunches and I lift weights.
In the evening I do a cardio workout DVD, a total body workout DVD, 10 minutes of ab work and I take my dog for a mile walk, I also lift weights.
I also keep a food/exercise journal. I currently weigh 145lbs.

how long till i get a six pack?

i am 14 years old i weigh 130 pounds i am not skinny, more solid, i do the p90x ab ripper every other day, along with some additional crunches. i play basketball and currently doing intense 1 hour workouts 2x a week. i can barely see a six pack and want it to show. can jumping rope help? i also do weights and pull ups and push ups and stuff congregated with the p90x workout program.

Ab Question: Skinny but unable to get six pack?

I am 19 5’10” about 140 maybe a little less. Very low body fat I could eat krispy kremes all day and lose weight. I havnt worked out much the last 6 months but before that when I was working out almost everyday and got up to 145 with a bench of 205 so I think its safe to say I am mostly muscle bone and not a lot else. I have a flat stomach but no defined abs to speak of even when I was training them pretty intensely. Both parents are also skinny so genetics are on my side. And the real kicker is that my abs are probably the best right now after not working out…(could maybe have something to do with walking far to class everyday now that Im in college). What do I need to do to get some abs? One thing I am considering is doing 100 situps everyday and maybe some sprints when it gets warmer. And to clarify on my build I’m not one of those skin and bones unathletic types I run a 4.4 or better and my dad ran a 4.3 and played running back at a D1 school(back when there still were white running backs). Any ideas from either trainers or personal experience would be appreciated.
Alright sounds like some ppl need clarification on a few things. Before my recent laziness I worked out at least 3 times a week correctly, covering all major muscle groups as was shown to me by a trainer. Did this for about a year and a half solid..hence the bench. I also pounded the protein powder and ate alot. As my hypertrophy routine pretty much hit a wall I started to work in more cardio and hit abs heavily while lightening to maintenance on everything else. For a normal ab workout that I did 3 times a week I did the hanging leg raising 5 sets of 20 with 5lbs weight on feet followed by either a superset of an ab machine and decline crunches or decline throwing the ball for 3 sets. This is why I think the however many situps a day might be the answer because while all the workout experts push the less fundamental exercises like hanging raises, Ive also heard the argument for plain old situps. Also bfp last time I checked using the online way I got 4% and 7% from 2 diff ways.

Hey i am 16 years old and despite… well … my pretty poor efforts, after 3 months of eating heathily and exercising i am not very close to having 6 pack abdominal muscles but i have improved thanks to a heap of cardio (bike riding) and a few crunches here and there.

i have not been focusing on my abs but seen as summer will soon be upon us, what better way to attract a chick than to have a nice looking body ^^

Im heading to the north for a month to spend time with some friends and family, but with them being in college for a good half of the trip i imagine ill have a bit of free time, to relax and work out. My question is that will it be possible to a achive a good 4pack abs by the time get back, in around one months time.

Ill give you the current situation, i am a pretty skinny 16 year old guy who might have had a few too many pie’s last holidays, but i’ve cut away a lot of my gut, i now have almost a 2pack of abs and a fairly flat stomach, but with a little bulge at the waistline, less than half an inch.

So does my task of 4pack abs seem within reach with a month or training and perhaps dieting, maybe not dieting but i will watch what i eat even more than usual.

I am 16, 130lbs and 5 feet 8.
